Craft & Materials
Every MUSES piece begins with a commitment to materials that stand the test of time and craftsmanship rooted in tradition.
Materials
MUSES eyewear is built from premium materials—chosen for their beauty, quality, and integrity.
We use Mazzucchelli plant-based acetate, derived from renewable cotton and wood fibers, known for its depth, durability, and nuanced color. Each sheet of acetate carries organic variations in tone and pattern—making every frame subtly unique.
Our lenses are crafted by ZEISS, a global leader in optical innovation. Each lens offers 100% UVA/UVB protection, sharp vision, and scratch resistance.
The Making
Each frame is handmade in Italy, in small batches, by skilled artisans using time-honored techniques passed down through generations. From shaping and tumbling to polishing and assembly, every step is deliberate—every touch, human.
We believe that how something is made matters. Our process is slower, more intimate, and deeply rooted in tradition.
Details
From the softened angles of a silhouette to the beveled temples, every MUSES frame is the result of months of iteration and intention.
We design with clarity and confidence, ensuring that each line, finish, and proportion serves both form and function. Subtle metal details add structure and signature. Each element is sourced with care, and chosen for its lasting beauty.

At MUSES, we believe in working with partners who share our values. From the materials we use to the workshops we collaborate with, ethical production and responsible sourcing are at the heart of everything we do.
We work with suppliers and manufacturers who operate with transparency, fairness, and environmental care. Our acetates are produced with reduced environmental impact; our lenses are made by partners known for quality and sustainable innovation; our packaging is thoughtfully developed to minimize impact without compromising experience.
